The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carl Van Cauwenberg to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Edward De Witte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, Niemandshoek's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Verstraeten came free, but Bertan Konings reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Verstraeten in the 62nd minute of play forced Niemandshoek's goalkeeper Bertan Konings to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Ken Van der Veeken notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Niemandshoek's Bertan Konings. Bertan Konings made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Verstraeten in the 86th minute of play. After 88 played minutes KAA Reigerloo got a freekick which was hit by Edward De Witte. In the 90th minute, Diego Lembrechts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 91 played minutes KAA Reigerloo got a freekick which was hit by Dimitri de Neuyter. If Carl Van Cauwenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The KAA Reigerloo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Niemandshoek had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
