The referee ignored Park FC Houthalen's protests and gave Kristiaan Godefroid a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Kristiaan Godefroid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Park FC Houthalen's Kristiaan Godefroid got his second yellow card of the match in the 8th minute. The referee ordered Kristiaan Godefroid off the ground. The FC Gerbalona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Albertus Rutgeerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeffery Van Hoeij in the 15th minute of play. Albertus Rutgeerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natan Raeijmaeckers in the 17th minute of the match. Jeffery Van Hoeij sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natan Raeijmaeckers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Natan Raeijmaeckers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albertus Rutgeerts having to make a save. FC Gerbalona's Dimitri Vissenaeckens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save FC Gerbalona from getting a goal against them. Albertus Rutgeerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natan Raeijmaeckers in the 28th minute of the match. Jeffery Van Hoeij received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Albertus Rutgeerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 43 minutes of play, FC Gerbalona's Willy Cox made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albertus Rutgeerts was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Wouter Dumont had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dries Taverniers struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Albertus Rutgeerts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Gerbalona.

Albertus Rutgeerts was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Natan Raeijmaeckers capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Natan Raeijmaeckers really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. A collision led to Park FC Houthalen getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Jammy De Potter hit a great ball. Albertus Rutgeerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dries Taverniers in the 62nd minute of the match. FC Gerbalona's Natan Raeijmaeckers got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evert Van Der Eyde scored 1-3 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dimitri Vissenaeckens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeffery Van Hoeij received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. FC Gerbalona made a substitution. Klaus Van Mellart replaced Ignace Verheijden. If Willy Cox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Willy Cox came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the FC Gerbalona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Willy Cox couldn't finish the play. In the 88th match minute, FC Gerbalona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willy Cox to maneuver through the defense. Dries Taverniers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jo Vergau during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jo Vergau hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded FC Gerbalona left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Park FC Houthalen.
