Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Carl Van Cauwenberg kicked off to start the match. 11 minutes into the game, Carl Van Cauwenberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Niemandshoek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Gerbalona the free kick. In the 11th match minute, Niemandshoek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Van Cauwenberg to maneuver through the defense. Bertan Konings took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natan Raeijmaeckers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Jeffery Van Hoeij notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Niemandshoek's Bertan Konings. Bertan Konings was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jeffery Van Hoeij took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bertan Konings. Bertan Konings dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 27th match minute, FC Gerbalona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willy Cox to maneuver through the defense. After 30 minutes, Diego Lembrechts mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Niemandshoek and the FC Gerbalona players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th minute, Diego Lembrechts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wouter Dumont sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeffery Van Hoeij's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bertan Konings read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. If Natan Raeijmaeckers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Carl Van Cauwenberg was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 37 minutes had been played. A collision led to Niemandshoek getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Carl Van Cauwenberg hit a great ball. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Niemandshoek's goalkeeper Bertan Konings, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of FC Gerbalona booed when Niemandshoek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Lembrechts didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dries Taverniers in the 43rd minute of play forced Niemandshoek's goalkeeper Bertan Konings to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wouter Dumont fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertan Konings having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dries Taverniers made a kick off. Jeffery Van Hoeij's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bertan Konings read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Bertan Konings showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natan Raeijmaeckers in the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Niemandshoek's goal looked a bit too open when Natan Raeijmaeckers came free, but Bertan Konings reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bertan Konings took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeffery Van Hoeij, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Natan Raeijmaeckers got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bertan Konings quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 71st minute, Dries Taverniers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Natan Raeijmaeckers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertan Konings having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Niemandshoek's zone, Natan Raeijmaeckers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertan Konings came out of the goal and Natan Raeijmaeckers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Wouter Dumont had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Dries Taverniers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FC Gerbalona's Klaus Van Mellart was substituted for Ignace Verheijden. Bertan Konings made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natan Raeijmaeckers in the 86th minute of play. Wouter Dumont sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
