After 9 played minutes VC Vlekkem got a freekick which was hit by Marc Sterckx. Martijn Vansteenbrugge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne De Langhe having to interfere. In the 15th minute, VC Vlekkem's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Claude Ingelborgh fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 17 minutes, Claude Ingelborgh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Therapy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claude Ingelborgh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Therapy FC's zone, Jorre Vandamme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bas Kerkhove came out of the goal and Jorre Vandamme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Billy Van de Velde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Bas Kerkhove tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martijn Vansteenbrugge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne De Langhe having to interfere. After having played for 31 minutes, Martijn Vansteenbrugge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Therapy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martijn Vansteenbrugge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd match minute, Therapy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Van den Enden to maneuver through the defense. Therapy FC's Bas Kerkhove played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billy Van de Velde in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Therapy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorre Vandamme came free, but Bas Kerkhove reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Billy Van de Velde made the kick off in the second half. After 56 minutes, Ruud Bosmans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VC Vlekkem and the Therapy FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to VC Vlekkem getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Ruud Bosmans hit a great ball. Bas Kerkhove acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 62nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ruud Bosmans. In the 64th minute Martijn Vansteenbrugge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne De Langhe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claude Ingelborgh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Arne De Langhe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arne De Langhe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claude Ingelborgh, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After having played for 69 minutes, Maxime Huijbrechs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Therapy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maxime Huijbrechs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. VC Vlekkem's Arne De Langhe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claude Ingelborgh in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Therapy FC's Claude Ingelborgh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arne De Langhe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to VC Vlekkem getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Michiel Vincx hit a great ball. If Martijn Vansteenbrugge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martijn Vansteenbrugge in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arne De Langhe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
