A collision led to VC Vlekkem getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Billy Van de Velde hit a great ball. Assebroek FC were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after VC Vlekkem's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Waut Swings took the corner. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Arne De Langhe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roderik Meijers in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute, Luckas Dejardin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arne De Langhe had great luck who in the 55thth minute grab hold of the ball when Luckas Dejardin from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Luckas Dejardin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute, Roderik Meijers fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Arne De Langhe, passed just outside the right post. 68 minutes into the game, Roderik Meijers recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arne De Langhe. Roderik Meijers showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luckas Dejardin in the 74th minute of play forced VC Vlekkem's goalkeeper Arne De Langhe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, VC Vlekkem's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Roderik Meijers fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Bernard Maerschalks kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, VC Vlekkem's Jorre Vandamme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rudi Blomme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arne De Langhe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luckas Dejardin, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Matt Polspoel kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Luckas Dejardin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
