Regis Torfs might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roger De Worteler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Regis Torfs ran back to his position shaking his head. Roger De Worteler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorne Van Hoegaerden in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th match minute, S52 Wonder Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yoachim Van Laer to maneuver through the defense. After 9 played minutes S52 Wonder Team got a freekick which was hit by Hans Bourgignon. Stein Demeester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Bourgignon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Regis Torfs got free with Roger De Worteler in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the match, Schaffen's Regis Torfs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roger De Worteler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jorne Van Hoegaerden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roger De Worteler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Gery Panhuijsen lost his temper 29 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Schaffen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of S52 Wonder Team:s goal. The referee gave S52 Wonder Team a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Niki Van de cauter, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Schaffen's Stein Demeester. 0-1. The supporters of S52 Wonder Team booed when Schaffen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenn Weygaerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Regis Torfs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schaffen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Regis Torfs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Regis Torfs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Roger De Worteler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Vercauteren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roger De Worteler having to make a save. If Regis Torfs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hans Bourgignon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stein Demeester having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hans Bourgignon to strike the kick off in the second half. Guust Verheijd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Regis Torfs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger De Worteler having to interfere. Roger De Worteler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Regis Torfs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Regis Torfs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Roger De Worteler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Regis Torfs in the 68th minute of play forced S52 Wonder Team's goalkeeper Roger De Worteler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Schaffen booed when S52 Wonder Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yoachim Van Laer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guust Verheijd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stein Demeester having to interfere. Roger De Worteler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Regis Torfs in the 76th minute of the match. S52 Wonder Team's Guust Verheijd got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yoeri Leempoels kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Guust Verheijd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stein Demeester having to interfere. The Schaffen supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching S52 Wonder Team's performance. The match ended with a win for S52 Wonder Team.
