Spectators: 7563 (Terracing: 5673, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 151) Therapy FC's Martijn Vansteenbrugge started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Martijn Vansteenbrugge who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Schaffen's Stein Demeester was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stein Demeester didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claude Ingelborgh went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Schaffen's Jorne Van Hoegaerden got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stein Demeester made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Claude Ingelborgh sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute Regis Torfs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bas Kerkhove saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stein Demeester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martijn Vansteenbrugge in the 26th minute of play. Regis Torfs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorne Van Hoegaerden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bas Kerkhove having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Schaffen got a freekick which was hit by Jacque Fouquet. Martijn Vansteenbrugge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Martijn Vansteenbrugge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stein Demeester was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Claude Ingelborgh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stein Demeester having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Jorne Van Hoegaerden left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Schaffen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorne Van Hoegaerden made a kick off. In the 59th minute, Jorne Van Hoegaerden ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bas Kerkhove was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Schaffen's goalkeeper Stein Demeester, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Schaffen's Stein Demeester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martijn Vansteenbrugge in the 73rd minute of play. After having played for 79 minutes, Claude Ingelborgh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Therapy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claude Ingelborgh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Martijn Vansteenbrugge managed to get in a good position for a shot. Therapy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Martijn Vansteenbrugge was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stein Demeester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stein Demeester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martijn Vansteenbrugge in the 85th minute of play. Bas Kerkhove made an important save on a dangerous shot by Regis Torfs in the 86th minute. Therapy FC's Bas Kerkhove proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Therapy FC from getting a goal against them. 97 minutes into the game, Maxime Huijbrechs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Therapy FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schaffen the free kick. A collision led to Therapy FC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Maxime Huijbrechs hit a great ball. Schaffen's Jorne Van Hoegaerden got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Schaffen eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
