Roger De Worteler came out of the goal and Nicolaas Slaghmeulders tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. S52 Wonder Team's Niki Van de cauter couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 9th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for HO Wolvertem-Merchtem. With a little luck, HO Wolvertem-Merchtem's Steff Van Boeckost got control of the ball when Guust Verheijd tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guust Verheijd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steff Van Boeckost having to interfere. Bart-Jan Montens kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Guust Verheijd struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Steff Van Boeckost didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S52 Wonder Team. Guust Verheijd was extremely unlucky when he, in the 17th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 23 minutes into the game, S52 Wonder Team's Guust Verheijd nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Steff Van Boeckost made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Yoachim Van Laer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th minute, Nicolaas Slaghmeulders made a precise shot to the right of Roger De Worteler. S52 Wonder Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. S52 Wonder Team's Roger De Worteler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre-Alexandre Vaes in the 35th minute of play. HO Wolvertem-Merchtem's Steff Van Boeckost proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save HO Wolvertem-Merchtem from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Renzo De Maijer during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hans Bourgignon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steff Van Boeckost having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Renzo De Maijer made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Hans Bourgignon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S52 Wonder Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Bourgignon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Guust Verheijd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to HO Wolvertem-Merchtem getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Pierre-Alexandre Vaes hit a great ball. If Guust Verheijd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. HO Wolvertem-Merchtem's Nicolaas Slaghmeulders got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicolaas Slaghmeulders could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Roger De Worteler made a huge save. 74 minutes into the game, S52 Wonder Team's Hans Bourgignon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
