Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Luckas Dejardin got the match started through his kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Sebbe Coryn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rudi Blomme. Assebroek FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebbe Coryn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Mathis de Neutere recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 16 minutes, Andre La Rose managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Eegem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andre La Rose was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Assebroek FC's Rudi Blomme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathis de Neutere in the 18th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Club Eegem's goal looked a bit too open when Emile Lefevre came free, but Jacky Mallaerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Eegem's Mathis de Neutere got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mathis de Neutere fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudi Blomme having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Club Eegem got a freekick which was hit by Lucien Billen. Sebbe Coryn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rudi Blomme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Assebroek FC's Rudi Blomme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathis de Neutere in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Assebroek FC's Bernard Maerschalks got a free kick in the 36th minute. Jacky Mallaerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luckas Dejardin in the 41st minute of the match. Jacky Mallaerts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luckas Dejardin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Club Eegem were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mathis de Neutere was the one to do the kick off. Luckas Dejardin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacky Mallaerts having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Club Eegem's Maarten Demarez got a free kick in the 54th minute. Club Eegem's Jacky Mallaerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luckas Dejardin in the 55th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Conrad Lejeune during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Club Eegem booed when Assebroek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrad Lejeune didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Rudi Blomme managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Club Eegem's Mathis de Neutere fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A sloppy throw-in by Sylven Geerts in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Club Eegem's Matt Wijngaerts. Jacky Mallaerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luckas Dejardin, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Mathis de Neutere took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Rudi Blomme to make any attempt to save it. In the 79th match minute, Club Eegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebbe Coryn to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luckas Dejardin in the 80th minute of play forced Club Eegem's goalkeeper Jacky Mallaerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mathis de Neutere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Club Eegem booed when Assebroek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emile Lefevre didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mathis de Neutere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the game, Sylven Geerts threw the ball into play from the sideline. Club Eegem's Matt Wijngaerts quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The Assebroek FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Eegem were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
