Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Nicolas Caes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mathijs Van Wontergem, 1-0. Mathijs Van Wontergem was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nicolas Caes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 7 minute of play. In the 11th minute, Dyllan Enskens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jasper Van den Bossche was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Mathijs Van Wontergem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Van Mellaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Nicolas Caess short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Mathijs Van Wontergem to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 16th minute, Matthis Eggers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Declercq received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Jasper Van den Bossche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jasper Van den Bossche stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dyllan Enskens's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. A collision led to RSC Sint-Martens-Leerne getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Arnaud Himschoot hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, AFC Veenzijde's Jaspar Frans got a free kick in the 31st minute. Matthis Eggers kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by AFC Veenzijde's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Teun Capellemans was slow to take the kick. During this time RSC Sint-Martens-Leerne's players had a chance to rest. AFC Veenzijde's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when William Van Mellaert scored to the left of an out of position Mathijs Van Wontergem, making the score, 3-1. Nicolas Caes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. RSC Sint-Martens-Leerne's Teun Capellemans shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 48th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mathijs Van Wontergem but with some difficulty. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Declercq was the one to do the kick off. Mathijs Van Wontergem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Van Mellaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The AFC Veenzijde fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when AFC Veenzijde's Miguel Declercq looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of RSC Sint-Martens-Leerne booed when AFC Veenzijde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaspar Frans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gwenn Creemers's late challenge caught a RSC Sint-Martens-Leerne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gwenn Creemers helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave RSC Sint-Martens-Leerne a penalty, 71 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Teun Capellemans, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of AFC Veenzijde's Mathijs Van Wontergem. 4-2. Corneel Van Laer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mathijs Van Wontergem. AFC Veenzijde's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dyllan Enskens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Jasper Van den Bossche made a huge save. Nicolas Caes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the match, William Van Mellaert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mathijs Van Wontergem. AFC Veenzijde's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that William Van Mellaert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-3. If Nicolas Caes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, AFC Veenzijde's goal looked a bit too open when William Van Mellaert came free, but Mathijs Van Wontergem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolas Caes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mathijs Van Wontergem read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. William Van Mellaert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathijs Van Wontergem having to interfere. RSC Sint-Martens-Leerne's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
