Pino Borginions charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pino Borginions the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th match minute, Ruislede was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pino Borginions to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolas Caes got free with Kevin Engelboorgs in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With 19 minutes on the clock, Gilian De Vleeschauwer commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Teun Capellemans placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! 26 minutes into the game, Nicolas Caes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Kevin Engelboorgs was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in RSC Sint-Martens-Leerne's zone, Reinaud Bekaert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jasper Van den Bossche came out of the goal and Reinaud Bekaert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Nicolas Caes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RSC Sint-Martens-Leerne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Caes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kevin Engelboorgs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of William Van Mellaert's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After having played for 43 minutes, Sergio Stuyck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RSC Sint-Martens-Leerne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergio Stuyck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute, Albert Huijbrechts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kevin Engelboorgs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolas Caes in the 45th minute. William Van Mellaert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and William Van Mellaert made a kick off. Pino Borginions hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Teun Capellemans sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ruislede's Kevin Engelboorgs didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, Ruislede's Pino Borginions got a free kick in the 64th minute. If Nicolas Caes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Pino Borginions hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, RSC Sint-Martens-Leerne's Corneel Van Laer got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Reinaud Bekaert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel de Neuyter received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jasper Van den Bossche came out and tried to block the shot, but Gabriel de Neuyter slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 76th minute. Kevin Engelboorgs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Van Mellaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Kevin Engelboorgs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Caes in the 83rd minute of the match. William Van Mellaert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kevin Engelboorgs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Van Mellaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The referee gave RSC Sint-Martens-Leerne a penalty, 97 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Teun Capellemans, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ruislede's Kevin Engelboorgs. 5-1. In the 101st play minute Reinaud Bekaert came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jasper Van den Bossche. 5-2. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. RSC Sint-Martens-Leerne had played much better football throughout.
