The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Erpent's Hubert Van den Gans got a free kick in the 3rd minute. When Christopher Hellemons came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Erpent fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christopher Hellemons couldn't finish the play. Godfried Verhagen struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Bert De Raedemaecker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Erpent. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremie De Vorster in the 14th minute of play forced Diablo ultras's goalkeeper Bert De Raedemaecker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Christian Biermans recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Daniel Schol. Christian Biermans showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Christopher Hellemons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bert De Raedemaecker having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremie De Vorster in the 25th minute of play forced Diablo ultras's goalkeeper Bert De Raedemaecker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 38th minute, but Daniel Schol got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Erpent hanging dry this time. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeremie De Vorster to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Diablo ultras getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Ron Libreghts hit a great ball. Christian Biermans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Daniel Schol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Schol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Biermans's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, Christian Biermans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Diablo ultras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. With a little luck, Diablo ultras's Bert De Raedemaecker got control of the ball when Christopher Hellemons tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dyllan De Vleeschauwer's late challenge caught a Erpent's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dyllan De Vleeschauwer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th minute, Dyllan De Vleeschauwer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute, Dyllan De Vleeschauwer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Schol was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Hubert Van den Gans charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hubert Van den Gans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute, Hubert Van den Gans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dyllan De Vleeschauwer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Diablo ultras's goalkeeper Bert De Raedemaecker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Diablo ultras fans cheered their team off the field, for while Erpent had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
