Bruno Holemans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kasper Vercruysse came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Den Boom In's Constant Schol. But to his dismay, Constant Schol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 17th minute, Soren Cooreman made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Holemans. Den Boom In's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 21st minute Rob Biesen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kasper Vercruysse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacob Van Eijcke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Holemans having to interfere. Dre De Geyter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacob Van Eijcke might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Holemans. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacob Van Eijcke ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 37 minutes, Dre De Geyter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rozen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dre De Geyter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jacob Van Eijcke came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Rozen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacob Van Eijcke couldn't finish the play. Dre De Geyter might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Holemans. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dre De Geyter ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 41st minute, Henri-Patrick De Ridder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bruno Holemans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dre De Geyter in the 44th minute of play. Jacob Van Eijcke took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Holemans. Bruno Holemans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rob Biesen was the one to do the kick off. Rozen's Kasper Vercruysse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rob Biesen in the 55th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rob Biesen during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 63 played minutes Den Boom In got a freekick which was hit by Rob Biesen. Dre De Geyter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Den Boom In's zone, Jacob Van Eijcke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Holemans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dre De Geyter in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 76th minute Henri-Patrick De Ridder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Holemans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
