The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the game, Youri Jannis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Den Boom In's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Splifted4Life the free kick. When Charlie Gillis came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Splifted4Life fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charlie Gillis couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the game, Splifted4Life's Charlie Gillis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Holemans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The audience was convinced that Remco Van Halssbeeck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Holemans was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Splifted4Life's Will Vanden Berghe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constant Schol in the 20th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Remco Van Halssbeeck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Gillis in the 26th minute of play forced Den Boom In's goalkeeper Bruno Holemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Splifted4Life's Herve Goorts got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 29 minutes, Charlie Gillis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Splifted4Life's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charlie Gillis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Constant Schol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Den Boom In's zone, Charlie Gillis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Holemans came out of the goal and Charlie Gillis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Herve Goorts came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Splifted4Life fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herve Goorts couldn't finish the play. Rocky Dejonghe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Remco Van Halssbeeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Holemans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charlie Gillis in the 44th minute of play. Herve Goorts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rob Biesen to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Christof De Graef managed to get in a good position for a shot. Splifted4Life's supporters rose to their feet, but Christof De Graef was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Holemans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 52nd minute of the game, Herve Goorts landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 52 minutes into the game, Johny De Messemaecker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Den Boom In's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Splifted4Life the free kick. After a rather tough play, Den Boom In's Johny De Messemaecker got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 57th match minute, Den Boom In was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willem Heijligen to maneuver through the defense. Splifted4Life's Will Vanden Berghe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dyllan Teunis in the 58th minute of play. Wesley Uytterhaegen in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bruno Holemans, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Charlie Gillis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remco Van Halssbeeck in the 77th minute of play forced Den Boom In's goalkeeper Bruno Holemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Christof De Graef had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Holemans. Den Boom In's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christof De Graef was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Splifted4Life's Wesley Uytterhaegen got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christof De Graef received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Bruno Holemans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remco Van Halssbeeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Holemans having to interfere. After 94 minutes of play, Splifted4Life's Charlie Gillis made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Holemans was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Den Boom In fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Splifted4Life were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
