Liedekerke's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rob Biesen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Bruno Holemans was a little too slow when Rocky Van Hespen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 25th minute Rocky Van Hespen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Holemans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luukas Vermeesch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Bruno Holemans made a huge save. The nice shot from Luukas Vermeesch in the 29thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Bruno Holemans had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Izak Bekaert during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Den Boom In booed when Liedekerke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Izak Bekaert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luukas Vermeesch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Liedekerke's goal looked a bit too open when Rob Biesen came free, but Wim Streels reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Den Boom In's Rob Biesen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wim Streels made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 46th match minute, Liedekerke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willy Olbrechts to maneuver through the defense. Dyllan Teunis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wim Streels having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rocky Van Hespen made a kick off. Dyllan Teunis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dyllan Teunis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Wim Streels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rocky Van Hespen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 68 minutes, Luukas Vermeesch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liedekerke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luukas Vermeesch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruno Holemans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rocky Van Hespen, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the match, Rocky Van Hespen notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Den Boom In's Bruno Holemans. Bruno Holemans was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stein De Keyser hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Luukas Vermeesch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
