In the 8th minute Carlos Van Leempten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wim Streels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Charlie Gillis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wim Streels. Liedekerke's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Charlie Gillis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Will Vanden Berghe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Izak Bekaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Liedekerke's zone, Charlie Gillis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wim Streels came out of the goal and Charlie Gillis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Charlie Gillis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Will Vanden Berghe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rocky Van Hespen in the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Splifted4Life's goal looked a bit too open when Rocky Van Hespen came free, but Will Vanden Berghe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The attack was good, but when Charlie Gillis in the 32nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 34th minute, Steffen Nelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wim Streels made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Van Leempten in the 35th minute. Wim Streels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remco Van Halssbeeck in the 37th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Splifted4Life's Charlie Gillis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wim Streels made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Charlie Gillis to strike the kick off in the second half. Vicente Gijsbrechts charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vicente Gijsbrechts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Herve Goorts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Remco Van Halssbeeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 61 minutes into the match, Liedekerke's goal looked a bit too open when Herve Goorts came free, but Wim Streels reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Willy Olbrechts hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. If Remco Van Halssbeeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 65 minutes into the match, Liedekerke's goal looked a bit too open when Charlie Gillis came free, but Wim Streels reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charlie Gillis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wim Streels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mickael Van Hoeij, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 4-1 became the score in the 78th minute when Charlie Gillis elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Herve Goorts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wim Streels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remco Van Halssbeeck in the 84th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charlie Gillis in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wim Streels prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Liedekerke getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Izak Bekaert hit a great ball. Wim Streels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remco Van Halssbeeck in the 90th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Charlie Gillis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 94 minutes into the game, Izak Bekaert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liedekerke's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Splifted4Life the free kick. After a rather tough play, Liedekerke's Izak Bekaert got a free kick in the 94th minute. Herve Goorts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wim Streels read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
