In the 63rdth minute of the game Guy Ghesels who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sint-Maria-Oudenhove 's Tran Meulemans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 64th minute Pierrot Schoovaerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristof Salms saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sint-Maria-Oudenhove 's Tran Meulemans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Sint-Maria-Oudenhove from getting a goal against them. Matijs Paaps might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kristof Salms. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 89th minute, one of De Dinosaur Boys:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for De Dinosaur Boys. The referee gave Sint-Maria-Oudenhove a penalty, 91 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jorden De Ketelaere, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of De Dinosaur Boys's Kristof Salms. 2-0. When Matijs Paaps came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Sint-Maria-Oudenhove fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matijs Paaps couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the De Dinosaur Boys players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
