Spectators: 7354 (Terracing: 5628, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ernest De Loose got the match started through his kick off. FC Bayardii's Abel Vanden Bussche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cederik De Potter in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the game, Tibo De Block was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Bayardii's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC Averbode the free kick. Tibo De Block kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. When Cederik De Potter came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the AFC Averbode fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cederik De Potter couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Verengen in the 10th minute of play forced FC Bayardii's goalkeeper Abel Vanden Bussche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Vanden Bussche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cederik De Potter, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. AFC Averbode's Cederik De Potter got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ernest De Loose came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the FC Bayardii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernest De Loose couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute, Robbie Struijf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind AFC Averbode's goalkeeper Nico Vandeput, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. AFC Averbode's Cederik De Potter got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Jannic Krabbe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cederik De Potter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Lucas Verengen came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the AFC Averbode fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Verengen couldn't finish the play.

The supporters of AFC Averbode booed when FC Bayardii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin De Weerdt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucas Verengen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Vanden Bussche having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, FC Bayardii's goalkeeper Abel Vanden Bussche had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Verengen. The crowd rose to their feet as AFC Averbode's Cederik De Potter slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abel Vanden Bussche. That made the score 0-1 after 71 minutes of play. 76 minutes into the match, FC Bayardii's goal looked a bit too open when Cederik De Potter came free, but Abel Vanden Bussche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Vanden Bussche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Verengen in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cederik De Potter in the 79th minute of play forced FC Bayardii's goalkeeper Abel Vanden Bussche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, FC Bayardii's goal looked a bit too open when Cederik De Potter came free, but Abel Vanden Bussche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Lucas Verengen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Abel Vanden Bussche, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in FC Bayardii's zone, Viktor Rix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Vanden Bussche came out of the goal and Viktor Rix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AFC Averbode's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
