Spectators: 6738 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1738, VIP seats: 0) Dave De Prins made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 4th minute of the match Francis Van de Wal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Douglas Vandewalle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jim Van Den Hout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Jorge Maerschalk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Xander-Paul Paelemans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. KAA Tongerlo's Bernt Raeijmaeckers got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jim Van Den Hout sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pomptje's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bernt Raeijmaeckers 22 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Jim Van Den Hout could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Jorge Maerschalk made a huge save. Douglas Vandewalle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave De Prins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guillaume Limpens kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Douglas Vandewalle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave De Prins in the 35th minute of play. Bernt Raeijmaeckers kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Sven Ketelers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Douglas Vandewalle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernt Raeijmaeckers made a kick off. Douglas Vandewalle was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Izak Voorhof. Douglas Vandewalle acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 55th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Izak Voorhof. In the 59th match minute, Pomptje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diedrik Van der Perren to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 60 minutes, Steff Ghesels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KAA Tongerlo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Steff Ghesels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Maerschalk came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by KAA Tongerlo's Bernt Raeijmaeckers. But to his dismay, Bernt Raeijmaeckers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 65 minutes into the match, KAA Tongerlo's Jim Van Den Hout sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Maerschalk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jim Van Den Hout sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Douglas Vandewalle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave De Prins, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. KAA Tongerlo's Jim Van Den Hout got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Pomptje booed when KAA Tongerlo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erwin-Alexander Van De Broeck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dave De Prins was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 95th minute. Pomptje's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Sven Ketelers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pomptje players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for KAA Tongerlo.
