Sporting Lancer Evo's attentive Kurt Van Hallebeeck managed to snatch the ball when Jonas De Spiegeleire made a throw-in in the 21st minute of the game. Tjorven Reiniers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wouter Decoster came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by KAA Tongerlo's Jim Van Den Hout. But to his dismay, Jim Van Den Hout quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jim Van Den Hout in the 43rd minute of play forced Sporting Lancer Evo's goalkeeper Wouter Decoster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Sergio De Groot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Lancer Evo's supporters rose to their feet, but Sergio De Groot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Vandewalle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Sporting Lancer Evo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KAA Tongerlo were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Sergio De Groot made the kick off in the second half. The Sporting Lancer Evo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching KAA Tongerlo's performance. The match ended with a win for KAA Tongerlo.
