The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge Maerschalk showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kristen Taverniers took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Douglas Vandewalle. Douglas Vandewalle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Kristen Taverniers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jim Van Den Hout came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the KAA Tongerlo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jim Van Den Hout couldn't finish the play. Jim Van Den Hout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jorge Maerschalk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Pomptje's goal looked a bit too open when Bernt Raeijmaeckers came free, but Jorge Maerschalk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Jim Van Den Hout could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Jorge Maerschalk made a huge save. In the 55th minute, Jim Van Den Hout got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jorge Maerschalk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Raeijmaeckers in the 62nd minute of the match. A collision led to KAA Tongerlo getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Guillaume Limpens hit a great ball. Dave De Prins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Douglas Vandewalle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Jorge Maerschalk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Raeijmaeckers in the 91st minute of the match. In the 96thth minute of the game Dave De Prins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KAA Tongerlo's Douglas Vandewalle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
