Spectators: 7536 (Terracing: 5653, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fredrik Van Achter got the match started through his kick off. Joery Van Severen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 2nd minute of the match, but Jelle Liebrechts made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Wendelghem's Nicky Baeten got a free kick in the 11th minute. When Wendelghem's Joery Machiels in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KFC Everbeek's goalie prevented a goal. In the 16th minute, Wendelghem's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tommie Huijghens fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Joery Machiels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 played minutes Wendelghem got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel De Schutter. A nice corner shot did that Dominick Bernage got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jelle Liebrechts quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Fredrik Van Achter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartjan de Pelsmakere having to interfere. Jeremie Weijnants's late challenge caught a Wendelghem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremie Weijnants helped the player get up and apologised. It was beautiful to see Wendelghem's Emanuel Van Acker in action when he in the 36th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 39 minutes into the game, Wendelghem's Fredrik Van Achter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bartjan de Pelsmakere made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Fredrik Van Achter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartjan de Pelsmakere having to interfere.

Fredrik Van Achter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Bartjan de Pelsmakere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel De Schutter hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute Joery Van Severen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jelle Liebrechts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 played minutes KFC Everbeek got a freekick which was hit by Dominick Bernage. Emanuel Van Acker was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 60th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ernst Van den Berchen's late challenge caught a Wendelghem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernst Van den Berchen helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes KFC Everbeek got a freekick which was hit by Ernst Van den Berchen. 67 minutes into the game, Lennart Stuckens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KFC Everbeek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wendelghem the free kick. Joery Van Severen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Wendelghem's goal looked a bit too open when Tommie Huijghens came free, but Jelle Liebrechts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bartjan de Pelsmakere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredrik Van Achter in the 78th minute of play. Jelle Liebrechts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joery Van Severen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommie Huijghens struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Jelle Liebrechts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Everbeek. A hard shot 86 in the game by Joery Machiels from a close distance when the talented Bartjan de Pelsmakere managed to make a qualified save. KFC Everbeek's players were relieved. Fredrik Van Achter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartjan de Pelsmakere having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Joery Machiels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wendelghem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joery Machiels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fredrik Van Achter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartjan de Pelsmakere having to interfere. Wendelghem played a much better game than KFC Everbeek and deserved their victory. The KFC Everbeek players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
