The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacky Schamp got free with Jelle Liebrechts in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as KSV Pittem's Jorre Luyten slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jelle Liebrechts. That made the score 1-0 after 16 minutes of play. If Joery Machiels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Qwinten Devaux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Van Achter in the 21st minute of the match. Balthazar Van den Broeck hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Jorre Luyten's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Jelle Liebrechts skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Fredrik Van Achter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Qwinten Devaux stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joery Machiels's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Joery Machiels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to KSV Pittem getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Emile Demets hit a great ball. After 49 played minutes, Wendelghem's Emanuel Van Acker shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Qwinten Devaux came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Wendelghem reached it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorre Luyten was the one to do the kick off. Jelle Liebrechts didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorre Luyten went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. If Joery Machiels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joery Machiels who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Qwinten Devaux when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 72nd minute Jorre Luyten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jelle Liebrechts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joery Machielss short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Qwinten Devaux to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 79 minutes into the match, KSV Pittem's Jacky Schamp sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jelle Liebrechts narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fernand Gysemans hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Wendelghem's Fredrik Van Achter got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
