After a rather tough play, AFC Burgmolen's Billy Deconynck got a free kick in the 3rd minute. If Arthur Dheedene had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. RSC Anderlecht's Sammy De Mayer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Jans in the 10th minute of play. Sammy De Mayer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Jans in the 15th minute of play. If Billy Deconynck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sammy De Mayer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Dheedene, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. RSC Anderlecht's Sammy De Mayer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Jans in the 19th minute of play. Marten Adriaensens might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastien Van Aerschodt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marten Adriaensens ran back to his position shaking his head. Peter Jans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Sammy De Mayer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sammy De Mayer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Dheedene in the 25th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arthur Dheedene in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sammy De Mayer saved RSC Anderlecht from getting behind. Sammy De Mayer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Jans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 40 minutes, Eric Swinnen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Burgmolen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric Swinnen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sammy De Mayer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Dheedene, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Peter Jans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th match minute, RSC Anderlecht was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marten Adriaensens to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute Arthur Dheedene shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sammy De Mayer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The RSC Anderlecht players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AFC Burgmolen were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Marten Adriaensens made the kick off in the second half. Billy Deconynck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 53 played minutes RSC Anderlecht got a freekick which was hit by Marten Adriaensens. Peter Jans struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Sammy De Mayer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Burgmolen. 56 minutes into the match, RSC Anderlecht's goalkeeper Sammy De Mayer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arthur Dheedene. Sammy De Mayer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Jans in the 61st minute of the match. Peter Jans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sammy De Mayer having to interfere. With a little luck, RSC Anderlecht's Sammy De Mayer got control of the ball when Arthur Dheedene tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sammy De Mayer went to the wrong direction when Willy Paelinck was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Sammy De Mayer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Jans in the 75th minute of the match. Peter Jans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sammy De Mayer having to interfere. Sammy De Mayer made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Arthur Dheedene sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in RSC Anderlecht's zone, Eric Swinnen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sammy De Mayer came out of the goal and Eric Swinnen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over AFC Burgmolen could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than RSC Anderlecht throughout the match.
