Spectators: 6729 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 0) Desselgem's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Angelo Eli scored to the left of an out of position Teo Van de Gaer, making the score, 1-0. Teo Van de Gaer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teun Mouton in the 10th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Teun Mouton kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Teo Van de Gaer. That made the score 2-0 in the 12 minute of play. After 15 played minutes AFC Schiplaken got a freekick which was hit by Florian Van Aertvinck. 19 minutes into the match, AFC Schiplaken's goal looked a bit too open when Wannes Van den Panhuizen came free, but Lou Castermans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Gunter Van den Bergen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Desselgem's Teo Van de Gaer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Desselgem from getting a goal against them. Desselgem's Teo Van de Gaer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teun Mouton in the 26th minute of play. After 26 played minutes Desselgem got a freekick which was hit by Gunter Van den Bergen. The supporters of Desselgem booed when AFC Schiplaken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teun Mouton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lou Castermans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wannes Van den Panhuizen's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Desselgem's Matthieu De Ketelaere managed to work through AFC Schiplaken's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Matthieu De Ketelaere dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Lennart Verhelst kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Teun Mouton made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teun Mouton in the 52nd minute of play forced Desselgem's goalkeeper Teo Van de Gaer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Teun Mouton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Matthieu De Ketelaere took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lou Castermans. Lou Castermans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Teun Mouton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Teo Van de Gaer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Wannes Van den Panhuizen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lou Castermans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Teun Mouton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFC Schiplaken fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Lou Castermans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wannes Van den Panhuizen in the 75th minute of play. In the 84th minute Harald Boffin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teo Van de Gaer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 89 minutes, Pierre-Olivier Uijterhoven mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Desselgem and the AFC Schiplaken players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Desselgem getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Pierre-Olivier Uijterhoven hit a great ball. When Matthieu De Ketelaere came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Desselgem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthieu De Ketelaere couldn't finish the play.
