Tommas Van Hoyveldt's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 5thth minute, Bass Rutgeerts skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leopold van Hacht during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bass Rutgeerts came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by UHV United's Joery Kerkhove. But to his dismay, Joery Kerkhove quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Tommas Van Hoyveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. UHV United's supporters rose to their feet, but Tommas Van Hoyveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bass Rutgeerts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bass Rutgeerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommas Van Hoyveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. When Joery Kerkhove fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UHV United's protests and gave Joery Kerkhove a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th match minute, UHV United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joery Kerkhove to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Tommas Van Hoyveldt put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bass Rutgeerts. When Tommas Van Hoyveldt came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the UHV United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommas Van Hoyveldt couldn't finish the play. In the 29th match minute, GS AS. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremey Kockaerts to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the GS AS. defense, Joery Kerkhove kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bass Rutgeerts. The GS AS. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bass Rutgeerts should have stopped the shot. Tommas Van Hoyveldt in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bass Rutgeerts, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Nelleboedske in the 36th minute of play forced GS AS.'s goalkeeper Bass Rutgeerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joery Kerkhove sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. UHV United's Tommas Van Hoyveldt pulled a muscle in his leg after 41 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 41 minutes into the game, William De Hertoge was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GS AS.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UHV United the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of GS AS.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of UHV United:s goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jozef Kuppens to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, UHV United's Ronny De Maijer got a free kick in the 55th minute. When Jan-Joost Smolders came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the UHV United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Joost Smolders couldn't finish the play. If Kim Mallecots had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GS AS.'s Bass Rutgeerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Joost Smolders in the 62nd minute of play. Kim Mallecots received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Bass Rutgeerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jan-Joost Smolders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joery Kerkhove received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Bass Rutgeerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Jan-Joost Smolders had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bass Rutgeerts. GS AS.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan-Joost Smolders was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. 77 minutes into the game, Jan-Joost Smolders cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Bass Rutgeerts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bass Rutgeerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Joost Smolders in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Jozef Kuppens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GS AS.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UHV United the free kick. Jozef Kuppens kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Martijn Himschoot scored 9-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bass Rutgeerts, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Joery Kerkhove had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that UHV United were the better team. UHV United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
