Tim-Jan De Coster was left in no man's land by his defense there! 20 minutes into the match, SCG Muangthong United's goalkeeper Antonio Bauwens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Remie Vrankx. Bruges Saint-Croix's Julien Gebuers got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tim-Jan De Coster showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pieter-Maarten Gielens in the 27th minute of the match. Antonio Bauwens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remie Vrankx in the 30th minute. SCG Muangthong United's Antonio Bauwens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julien Gebuers in the 33rd minute of play. After 40th play minutes Bas Van Aertvin shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Tim-Jan De Coster and just under the crossbar into goal.

If Pieter-Maarten Gielens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bas Van Aertvin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 played minutes Bruges Saint-Croix got a freekick which was hit by Remie Vrankx. The supporters of SCG Muangthong United booed when Bruges Saint-Croix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Vandenbosch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pieter-Maarten Gielens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim-Jan De Coster having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Julien Gebuers notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of SCG Muangthong United's Antonio Bauwens. Antonio Bauwens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Remie Vrankx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 minutes of play, Bruges Saint-Croix's Remie Vrankx made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antonio Bauwens was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tim-Jan De Coster came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by SCG Muangthong United's Bas Van Aertvin. But to his dismay, Bas Van Aertvin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. After 89 played minutes Bruges Saint-Croix got a freekick which was hit by Willem-Alexander Verheugen. Bas Van Aertvin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pieter-Maarten Gielens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Tim-Jan De Coster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
