Spectators: 7975 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1815, VIP seats: 160) Varinkshoek's Ben Laporte started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Gourgues FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Segers to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas-Jan Wuyts in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reinaert Verhasselt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Gourgues FC's Thomas-Jan Wuyts in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Varinkshoek's goalie prevented a goal. Matthy Van de Weijer hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. When Thomas-Jan Wuyts came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Gourgues FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas-Jan Wuyts couldn't finish the play. In the 10th match minute, Varinkshoek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ben Laporte to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas-Jan Wuyts in the 11th minute of play forced Varinkshoek's goalkeeper Reinaert Verhasselt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reinaert Verhasselt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas-Jan Wuyts in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Gourgues FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joe Francken came free, but Harold De Meyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Gourgues FC defense, Jochen Van Gorpt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harold De Meyer. The Gourgues FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harold De Meyer should have stopped the shot. 24 minutes into the game, one of Varinkshoek:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Gourgues FC a penalty, 25 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kobe Laporte, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Varinkshoek's Reinaert Verhasselt. 1-1. Matias Hendrickx who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Reinaert Verhasselt when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Matias Hendrickx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Thomas-Jan Wuyts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robbin Laureijs took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Reinaert Verhasselt. Varinkshoek's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 36 played minutes Varinkshoek got a freekick which was hit by Matthy Van de Weijer. Harold De Meyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ben Laporte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 minutes of play Varinkshoek's Matthy Van de Weijer was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Gourgues FC booed when Varinkshoek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthy Van de Weijer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reinaert Verhasselt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas-Jan Wuyts in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46thth minute of the game Joe Francken who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gourgues FC's Harold De Meyer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 48 played minutes Varinkshoek got a freekick which was hit by Joe Francken.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thomas-Jan Wuyts to strike the kick off in the second half. The long shot by Arnaud Wintermans in the 60th minute really tested Harold De Meyer's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas-Jan Wuyts in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 77th minute, Emile Langendonckx sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gourgues FC's Harold De Meyer didn't even have to move. Joe Francken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harold De Meyer having to interfere. If Matias Hendrickx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Thomas-Jan Wuyts put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Reinaert Verhasselt. Gourgues FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
