Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ken Peers started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Wevelgem FC's Benoit Jaddon got a free kick in the 5th minute. Ben Laporte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viktor De Baere having to interfere. In the 8th match minute, Varinkshoek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthy Van de Weijer to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Ken Peers put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Reinaert Verhasselt. 12 minutes into the game, Wevelgem FC's Luckas Goddez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reinaert Verhasselt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 17th minute, Ken Peers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 21 played minutes Wevelgem FC got a freekick which was hit by Remco Van Groenderbeek. After a rather tough play, Varinkshoek's Matthy Van de Weijer got a free kick in the 25th minute. Joe Francken's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viktor De Baere read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yves Van Meerbeec during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 37 played minutes Varinkshoek got a freekick which was hit by Yves Van Meerbeec. Luckas Goddez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Reinaert Verhasselt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Ken Peers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wevelgem FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ken Peers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the game, Wevelgem FC's Luckas Goddez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reinaert Verhasselt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Reinaert Verhasselt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ken Peers in the 48th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Ben Laporte made the kick off in the second half. Ben Laporte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emile Langendonckx hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 62 minutes in the game Diego De Graef got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Ken Peers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Reinaert Verhasselt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luckas Goddez took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reinaert Verhasselt. Reinaert Verhasselt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. 84 minutes into the match, Ken Peers dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Reinaert Verhasselt, 0-7. Benoit Jaddon hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Ben Laporte kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The Varinkshoek supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Wevelgem FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Wevelgem FC.
