The penalty shot was made by Sander De Koq, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Boubadji United's Harold Rompen. 2-0. Harold Rompen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sander De Koq in the 19th minute. Izak Anthonis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Fred De Maerschalckx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Laurenz Beaufort came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Boubadji United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laurenz Beaufort couldn't finish the play. Camiel Huijbrechts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Harold Rompen made a huge save. Boubadji United's Harold Rompen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernst Pluijssens in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernst Pluijssens to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gino Tobbackers in the 53rd minute of play forced Boubadji United's goalkeeper Harold Rompen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
