The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Moalen defense, Gertjan Audenaert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cedrik Voorhof. The Moalen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cedrik Voorhof should have stopped the shot. Gertjan Audenaert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Cedrik Voorhof tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gertjan Audenaert in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cedrik Voorhof saved Moalen from getting behind. After 12 minutes of play, Moalen's Roni De Pauw made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Samuel De Pauw was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 16th match minute, Deportivo La Corona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renzo De Mol to maneuver through the defense. When Renzo De Mol fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo La Corona's protests and gave Renzo De Mol a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Deportivo La Corona getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Renzo De Mol hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luckas Lemmens in the 20th minute of play forced Moalen's goalkeeper Cedrik Voorhof to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cedrik Voorhof stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gertjan Audenaert's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute Deportivo La Corona were awarded a corner. Gertjan Audenaert went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Moalen's goalie and right to Kasper Goons. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Moalen's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Roni De Pauw could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Samuel De Pauw made a huge save. In the 31st minute Gertjan Audenaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cedrik Voorhof saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 37th play minutes Gertjan Audenaert shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Cedrik Voorhof and just under the crossbar into goal. Renzo De Mol hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Yoachim Van Beylen charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yoachim Van Beylen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th minute, Yoachim Van Beylen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roni De Pauw stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Deportivo La Corona's Gertjan Audenaert got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Moalen's Cedrik Voorhof proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Moalen from getting a goal against them. 54 minutes into the game, Gertjan Audenaert lined in a short shot 2-3 behind a frustrated Cedrik Voorhof. Samuel De Pauw showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roni De Pauw in the 58th minute of the match. Moalen's Cedrik Voorhof proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Moalen from getting a goal against them. Cedrik Voorhof made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Greg Van Meerbeec sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th minute Gertjan Audenaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cedrik Voorhof saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuel De Pauw made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yens Herinckx in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Lennart Verhaert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cedrik Voorhof acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 68th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Renzo De Mol. If Gertjan Audenaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gertjan Audenaerts short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Cedrik Voorhof to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Deportivo La Corona's Gertjan Audenaert got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luckas Lemmens struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Cedrik Voorhof didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo La Corona. 81 minutes into the match, Moalen's goal looked a bit too open when Greg Van Meerbeec came free, but Cedrik Voorhof reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The attack was good, but when Gertjan Audenaert in the 89th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When Gertjan Audenaert came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Deportivo La Corona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gertjan Audenaert couldn't finish the play. Deportivo La Corona's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
