Samuel De Pauw showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dirk Marant in the 13th minute of the match. The supporters of De Karotte booed when Deportivo La Corona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilian van haeve didn't get a good kick on the ball. Babe N'Diaye struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Samuel De Pauw didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Karotte. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sander Weets in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel De Pauw prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Luckas Lemmens came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Deportivo La Corona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luckas Lemmens couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the game, De Karotte's Dirk Marant nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Samuel De Pauw made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. De Karotte's Nils Focquier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save De Karotte from getting a goal against them. When Luckas Lemmens came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Deportivo La Corona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luckas Lemmens couldn't finish the play. Gertjan Audenaerts short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Nils Focquier to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 48 minutes into the match, Gertjan Audenaert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nils Focquier. De Karotte's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gertjan Audenaert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dirk Marant made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sander Weets got free with Samuel De Pauw in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nils Focquier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Greg Van Meerbeec in the 55th minute of play. Gertjan Audenaert scored 4-2 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nils Focquier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Greg Van Meerbeec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils Focquier having to interfere. De Karotte's Nils Focquier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gertjan Audenaert in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Deportivo La Corona's goalkeeper Samuel De Pauw had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sander Weets. Gertjan Audenaert scored 5-2 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nils Focquier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guilian van haeve was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 69 minutes into the match. Babe N'Diaye shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo La Corona's zone, Sander Weets stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel De Pauw came out of the goal and Sander Weets tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of De Karotte booed when Deportivo La Corona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renzo De Mol didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Gertjan Audenaert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nils Focquier was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dirk Marant in the 93rd minute of play forced Deportivo La Corona's goalkeeper Samuel De Pauw to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute of the match Tuur Nilis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Samuel De Pauw skillfully saved the ball. In the 97th minute Dirk Marant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel De Pauw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 97 minutes into the game, Dirk Marant recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Samuel De Pauw. Dirk Marant showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-3. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Deportivo La Corona had played much better football throughout.
