The supporters of Sassenhout booed when Haringe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Van Leempten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haringe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sassenhout the free kick. Senne Paaps recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. The referee ignored Haringe's protests and gave Luuk Oliviers a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Haringe getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Luuk Oliviers hit a great ball. Senne Paaps took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dries Van Aghten. Dries Van Aghten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Senne Paaps sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th play minute Stefan Raemakers came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dries Van Aghten. 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matias Van Leempten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Haringe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenneth Vranckx to maneuver through the defense. Haringe's Dries Van Aghten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Senne Paaps in the 55th minute of play. Sassenhout's supporters rose to their feet, but Senne Paaps was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dries Van Aghten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 79 minutes, Stefan Raemakers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sassenhout's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefan Raemakers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Senne Paaps managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sassenhout's supporters rose to their feet, but Senne Paaps was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dries Van Aghten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stefan Raemakers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dries Van Aghten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Senne Paaps in the 89th minute of play. Dries Van Aghten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Senne Paaps, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Senne Paaps received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Dries Van Aghten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Sassenhout were the better team. Sassenhout's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
