Dany Loremans was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Arnold Adriaensens. If Laércio Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 13th minute Martin Valckx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars De Malier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Hectic's zone, Laércio Paraíba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lars De Malier came out of the goal and Laércio Paraíba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dany Loremans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mats Degraef went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Sebastien Wouqier hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. If Laércio Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Arnold Adriaensens fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hectic's protests and gave Arnold Adriaensens a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes Hectic got a freekick which was hit by Arnold Adriaensens. After having played for 34 minutes, Laércio Paraíba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Koekelare MFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laércio Paraíba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mats Degraef could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Dany Loremans made a huge save. If Mats Degraef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laércio Paraíba to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Laércio Paraíba notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Hectic's Lars De Malier. Lars De Malier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Laércio Paraíba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Koekelare MFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Laércio Paraíba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lars De Malier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laércio Paraíba struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Lars De Malier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Koekelare MFC. The crowd rose to their feet as Koekelare MFC's Laércio Paraíba slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lars De Malier. That made the score 1-2 after 66 minutes of play. Laércio Paraíba hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Koekelare MFC defense, Wout Coekx kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dany Loremans. The Koekelare MFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dany Loremans should have stopped the shot. Dany Loremans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats Degraef, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. A collision led to Hectic getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Kent Demarez hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the game, Hectic's Mats Degraef nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dany Loremans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Dany Loremans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wout Coekx in the 87th minute of the match. Dany Loremans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mats Degraef went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Many of Koekelare MFC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Koekelare MFC may have spent more time on the ball, but Hectic were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
