Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 2nd match minute, YR Mechelen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Pieter Koninckx to maneuver through the defense. After 5 played minutes Aalbeked got a freekick which was hit by Joost Van hoegaerde. Xavier Van Beringen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 14th match minute, Aalbeked was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Vits to maneuver through the defense. Xavier Van Beringen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute, Niki Smolders fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Thibaud Raeijmaeckers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xavier Van Beringen's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Christoffel Jennes took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Andries Van Mechelen to make any attempt to save it. Tobias Smidts kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, Aalbeked was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Vits to maneuver through the defense. YR Mechelen's Jan-Pieter Koninckx quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Dave De Martelaere, made in the 37th minute of the game. 45 minutes into the game, Dave De Martelaere threw the ball into play from the sideline. YR Mechelen's Gwen Shamp quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 45 played minutes YR Mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Gwen Shamp. YR Mechelen were furious when Tobias Smidts was red carded, 48 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Andries Van Mechelen had in the 50thth minute some difficulties stopping Dave De Martelaere's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Andries Van Mechelen came out of the goal in the 50th minute to try and stop a shot by Aalbeked's Dave De Martelaere. But to his dismay, Dave De Martelaere quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan-Pieter Koninckx to make the kick off. Diederik Van Mechelen struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Thibaud Raeijmaeckers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for YR Mechelen. After a rather tough play, Aalbeked's Dave De Martelaere got a free kick in the 67th minute. If Jan-Pieter Koninckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Pieter Koninckx took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thibaud Raeijmaeckers. Thibaud Raeijmaeckers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When Diederik Van Mechelen fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored YR Mechelen's protests and gave Diederik Van Mechelen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Aalbeked booed when YR Mechelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diederik Van Mechelen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
