The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laércio Paraíba was the one to do the kick off. Koekelare MFC's Dany Loremans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwen Shamp in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's Stanny Van Wontergem sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dany Loremans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, Koekelare MFC's goal looked a bit too open when Stanny Van Wontergem came free, but Dany Loremans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Timoteo Tino fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. If Gwen Shamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 97 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Stanny Van Wontergem sped through Koekelare MFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dany Loremans. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. YR Mechelen had played much better football throughout.
