Perry Schockaert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jordy Bormans in the 22nd minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Jordy Bormans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Perry Schockaert. KV Woluwe Zaventem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jordy Bormans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Malinwa's Jordy Bormans got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jordy Bormans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 38 played minutes KV Woluwe Zaventem got a freekick which was hit by Peter Baboeuf. In the 42nd minute Aime Borglevens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perry Schockaert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Mathijs Du Sausois hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Lex Windelinckx made the kick off in the second half. Gino Kloots's late challenge caught a KV Woluwe Zaventem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gino Kloots helped the player get up and apologised. Gino Kloots hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. KV Woluwe Zaventem's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter Baboeuf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marc Visch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Malinwa's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
