Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gill Van der Veeren in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bastiaan Callens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 9th minute Gery De Maerschalckx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bastiaan Callens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathieu Meijers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Gilles Jannis made a huge save. In the 14th minute, Gill Van der Veeren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SK Oombergen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gilles Jannis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathieu Meijers in the 18th minute of play. After 28 played minutes SK Oombergen got a freekick which was hit by Benne De Paepe. 29 minutes into the match, Buitre SC's Yanniek Niewens broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Mathieu Meijers struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Gilles Jannis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buitre SC. 40 minutes into the match, SK Oombergen's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias de Pelsmaecker came free, but Gilles Jannis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nico Laureijs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Gilles Jannis made a huge save. Claude Wynant made in the 42nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Erik-Jan Schepmans. Dimitry Koppen hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Buitre SC's goalkeeper Bastiaan Callens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gill Van der Veeren made a kick off. Marten Beaufort blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bastiaan Callens having to make a save. Tjorven Ingelborgs kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Buitre SC's goal looked a bit too open when Marten Beaufort came free, but Bastiaan Callens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Dimitry Koppen managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Oombergen's supporters rose to their feet, but Dimitry Koppen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bastiaan Callens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathieu Meijers in the 56th minute of play forced SK Oombergen's goalkeeper Gilles Jannis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bastiaan Callens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marten Beaufort in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Gery De Maerschalckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 played minutes, Buitre SC's Yanniek Niewens shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilles Jannis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Buitre SC reached it. Marten Beaufort received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bastiaan Callens came out and tried to block the shot, but Marten Beaufort slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 67th minute. Bastiaan Callens made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Erik-Jan Schepmans sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathieu Meijers in the 72nd minute of play forced SK Oombergen's goalkeeper Gilles Jannis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dimitry Koppen got free with Bastiaan Callens in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mattias de Pelsmaecker took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilles Jannis. Gilles Jannis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Adam Winnepenninck's late challenge caught a Buitre SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adam Winnepenninck helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathieu Meijers in the 85th minute of play forced SK Oombergen's goalkeeper Gilles Jannis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nico Laureijs took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilles Jannis. Gilles Jannis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Buitre SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
