The referee felt a red card was in order, 14 minutes into the game, when Antonio De Groote put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Wuustwezel:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SK Oombergen:s goal. When the match had been going on for 15 minutes, SK Oombergen's Gery De Maerschalckx got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Arne Steenbeeck. When Kristof Hylen came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Wuustwezel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kristof Hylen couldn't finish the play. Gill Van der Veeren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Arne Steenbeeck made a huge save. A collision led to Wuustwezel getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Rocky Olbrechts hit a great ball. Gill Van der Veeren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Arne Steenbeeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kristof Hylen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kristof Hylen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilles Jannis having to interfere. If Marten Beaufort had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marten Beaufort sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Kristof Hylen made the kick off in the second half. Gill Van der Veeren kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Kristof Hylen succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 52nd playminute. In the 60thth minute of the game Gill Van der Veeren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wuustwezel's Arne Steenbeeck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wuustwezel's Arne Steenbeeck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gill Van der Veeren in the 64th minute of play. After 66 played minutes SK Oombergen got a freekick which was hit by Dimitry Koppen. After some careless play in the Wuustwezel defense, Marten Beaufort kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arne Steenbeeck. The Wuustwezel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arne Steenbeeck should have stopped the shot. Kristof Hylen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kristof Hylen got free with Gilles Jannis in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arne Steenbeeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gill Van der Veeren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kristof Hylen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilles Jannis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benny Schrijns got free with Gilles Jannis in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 90 minutes into the game, Wuustwezel's Kristof Hylen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilles Jannis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. In the 94th minute Benny Schrijns shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilles Jannis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
