Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Phillipe Van Hoyveldt started the match with the kick off. After 5 minutes, Arthur-Maurits Severens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RSC Anderlecht and the DrughiGenk players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arthur-Maurits Severens kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Arne Sterckmans made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Jilian Andriesens sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, DrughiGenk's Jozef Van De Broeck got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute of the match Timothy De Vlaeminck sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arne Sterckmans skillfully saved the ball. Serge Van Linthoud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marnix Van Turnhout, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 13 minutes, Jilian Andriesens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RSC Anderlecht and the DrughiGenk players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th minute Marnix Van Turnhout shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serge Van Linthoud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jullian Hoes took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serge Van Linthoud. Serge Van Linthoud dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Serge Van Linthoud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marnix Van Turnhout, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Serge Van Linthoud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phillipe Van Hoyveldt in the 25th minute of the match. Serge Van Linthoud came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by DrughiGenk's Phillipe Van Hoyveldt. But to his dismay, Phillipe Van Hoyveldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The audience was convinced that Phillipe Van Hoyveldt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Serge Van Linthoud was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Serge Van Linthoud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marnix Van Turnhout in the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Wilian da Mata cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Serge Van Linthoud was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 44th minute Jilian Andriesens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Sterckmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The RSC Anderlecht players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. DrughiGenk were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jilian Andriesens to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Wilian da Mata dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Serge Van Linthoud, 0-4. Wilian da Mata could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Serge Van Linthoud made a huge save. RSC Anderlecht's Serge Van Linthoud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marnix Van Turnhout in the 63rd minute of play. Serge Van Linthoud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phillipe Van Hoyveldt in the 65th minute of play. Serge Van Linthoud made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Jozef Van De Broeck sent off a good shot on target. After 68 minutes of play, DrughiGenk's Loid De Brouwer made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serge Van Linthoud was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 72ndth minute of the game Phillipe Van Hoyveldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RSC Anderlecht's Serge Van Linthoud was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 76 minutes into the game, DrughiGenk's Marnix Van Turnhout nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serge Van Linthoud made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Serge Van Linthoud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilian da Mata in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, DrughiGenk's goal looked a bit too open when Jilian Andriesens came free, but Arne Sterckmans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serge Van Linthoud made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilian da Mata in the 85th minute. RSC Anderlecht's Serge Van Linthoud proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save RSC Anderlecht from getting a goal against them. 93 minutes into the match, Wilian da Mata notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of RSC Anderlecht's Serge Van Linthoud. Serge Van Linthoud was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. DrughiGenk played a much better game than RSC Anderlecht and deserved their victory. The RSC Anderlecht players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
