The audience thought a goal was coming when Anthony Staes got free with Soren Fierens in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After taking down the ball on F.C. Anthony Staes might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Soren Fierens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anthony Staes ran back to his position shaking his head. Soren Fierens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anthony Staes in the 92nd minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Royal Timboektoe city players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for F.C. Waereghem.
