SC Bierbeek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brugse Boeren the free kick. Elias Goemyne hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Pierre-Paul Serneels stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dominic Tombeurs's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. The audience was convinced that Dominic Tombeurs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pierre-Paul Serneels was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. The supporters of SC Bierbeek booed when Brugse Boeren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominic Tombeurs didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 played minutes SC Bierbeek got a freekick which was hit by Philippe-Arnaud Sneijers. Abel Stroobant kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The long shot by Philippe-Arnaud Sneijers in the 16th minute really tested Sammy Candries's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After having played for 21 minutes, Ivan Van Der Veecken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Bierbeek's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Van Der Veecken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivan Van Der Veecken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Sammy Candries tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dominic Tombeurs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steven De Marrez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Van Der Veecken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sammy Candries having to interfere. In the 36th minute Elias Goemyne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sammy Candries saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pierre-Paul Serneels didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dominic Tombeurs went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Brugse Boeren's Dominic Tombeurs in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Bierbeek's goalie prevented a goal. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brugse Boeren reached it. Dominic Tombeurs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The SC Bierbeek players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Brugse Boeren were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Steven De Marrez made a kick off. Pierre-Paul Serneels took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominic Tombeurs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Bierbeek's Elias Goemyne got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Steven De Marrez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Sammy Candries tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sander Bollaert hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. A hard shot 70 in the game by Dominic Tombeurs from a close distance when the talented Pierre-Paul Serneels managed to make a qualified save. SC Bierbeek's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominic Tombeurs in the 76th minute of play forced SC Bierbeek's goalkeeper Pierre-Paul Serneels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th match minute, SC Bierbeek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean De Vos to maneuver through the defense. The tension between the SC Bierbeek and the Brugse Boeren players grew even worse after the yellow card. Brugse Boeren's Louis-Philippe Koenens was substituted for Roger Van de Velde. In the 88th minute, Ivan Van Der Veecken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elias Goemyne hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Dominic Tombeurs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dominic Tombeurs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. The Brugse Boeren players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
