Arne Sterckmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jilian Andriesens in the 11th minute of the match. With a little luck, RSC Anderlecht's Serge Van Linthoud got control of the ball when Erik-Jan Van Hoegaerden tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marten Lanfan charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Wilian da Mata kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Jilian Andriesens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Arne Sterckmans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, RSC Anderlecht was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustav Van Huruck to maneuver through the defense. Serge Van Linthoud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik-Jan Van Hoegaerden, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute.
