The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, Langemarks's Yanne Van den Berch threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Robrecht Schrevens, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 9th minute, Diedrik Vanpevenaeyge ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yanne Van den Berch was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Yanne Van den Berch made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Diedrik Vanpevenaeyge sent off a good shot on target. If Gustaaf Goebelens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yanne Van den Berch made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Diedrik Vanpevenaeyge sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Robrecht Schrevens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Langemarks's supporters rose to their feet, but Robrecht Schrevens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yanne Van den Berch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 45 minutes into the game, Diedrik Vanpevenaeyge cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Yanne Van den Berch was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robrecht Schrevens to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Rectum Royale defense, Diedrik Vanpevenaeyge kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yanne Van den Berch. The Rectum Royale fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yanne Van den Berch should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Gustaaf Goebelens managed to get in a good position for a shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diedrik Vanpevenaeyge in the 67th minute of play forced Rectum Royale's goalkeeper Yanne Van den Berch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robrecht Schrevens took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yanne Van den Berch. Yanne Van den Berch dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Yanne Van den Berch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Goebelens in the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Gustaaf Goebelens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yanne Van den Berch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Gustaaf Goebelens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Langemarks fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Yanne Van den Berch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ewout Spoelbergh in the 89th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Langemarks players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
