An unexpectedly hard shot by Siebe Naets in the 7th minute of play forced Standaard Meerbeek's goalkeeper Ataol Ayalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 minutes Standaard Meerbeek's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Raf Van de Schrieck who took care of the corner kick. Adam Mouton made a great header on FC Schnauzers's corner, it was just that Standaard Meerbeek's Ataol Ayalp managed to reach the ball for a save. Standaard Meerbeek's Ataol Ayalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marten Van den Berghe in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Standaard Meerbeek's goal looked a bit too open when Levi Mertens came free, but Ataol Ayalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 14 played minutes Standaard Meerbeek got a freekick which was hit by Casper Huveneers. In the 15th minute Siebe Naets shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ataol Ayalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ataol Ayalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Birger Jespers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Birger Jespers in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ataol Ayalp saved Standaard Meerbeek from getting behind. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Birger Jespers sped through Standaard Meerbeek's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ataol Ayalp. In the 22nd minute, Siebe Naets made a precise shot to the right of Ataol Ayalp. Standaard Meerbeek's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 26th minute Levi Mertens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ataol Ayalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siebe Naets in the 27th minute of play forced Standaard Meerbeek's goalkeeper Ataol Ayalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ataol Ayalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Mouton in the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, FC Schnauzers's Levi Mertens broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Levi Mertens in the 34th minute of play forced Standaard Meerbeek's goalkeeper Ataol Ayalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ataol Ayalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siebe Naets, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Birger Jespers scored 0-4 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ataol Ayalp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Standaard Meerbeek's Ataol Ayalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siebe Naets in the 46th minute of play. Ataol Ayalp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Siebe Naets's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. After the first half FC Schnauzers were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pieter-Jan De Raedemaeker stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match, Levi Mertens got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ataol Ayalp was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 52nd minute Birger Jespers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ataol Ayalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ataol Ayalp made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Levi Mertens sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Standaard Meerbeek's zone, Levi Mertens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ataol Ayalp came out of the goal and Levi Mertens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Standaard Meerbeek getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Aaron Van Gertsuyden hit a great ball. Standaard Meerbeek's Ataol Ayalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siebe Naets in the 72nd minute of play. After 74 played minutes Standaard Meerbeek got a freekick which was hit by Ken Stessel. 77 minutes into the game, Levi Mertens cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Ataol Ayalp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birger Jespers in the 80th minute of play forced Standaard Meerbeek's goalkeeper Ataol Ayalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Standaard Meerbeek's Ataol Ayalp got control of the ball when Levi Mertens tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Levi Mertens got free with Ataol Ayalp in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Schnauzers's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
