Boris Kortens hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Rens Engelborghs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Suikerklontjes booed when Club Brugge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ctibor Závada didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Club Brugge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yens Van Heerle to maneuver through the defense. Club Brugge's Nicolaas Roeckeloes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yoachim Hauwaerts in the 38th minute of play. Bart Van de Velde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the game, Suikerklontjes's Bart Van de Velde nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicolaas Roeckeloes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ctibor Závada was the one to do the kick off. Johannes Weijnandts had several of the Club Brugge's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 61 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Nicolaas Roeckeloes as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Bart Van de Velde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolaas Roeckeloes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Johannes Weijnandts's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. With an all-out effort, Suikerklontjes's Nicolaas Roeckeloes threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Johannes Weijnandts, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Johannes Weijnandts succeeded in the game's 74th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-6. 77 minutes into the match, Suikerklontjes's Yoachim Hauwaerts sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicolaas Roeckeloes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Bart Van de Velde got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Club Brugge's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Weijnandts came free, but Nicolaas Roeckeloes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Suikerklontjes's Bart Van de Velde pulled a muscle in his leg after 86 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Rens Engelborghs charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rens Engelborghs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Suikerklontjes's Arnout Marant was substituted for Bart Van de Velde. In the 87th minute, Rens Engelborghs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Suikerklontjes's Johannes Weijnandts dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. Suikerklontjes's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
