Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jonas en de Walvis II's Geert-Jan Huyberechts started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Standaard Meerbeek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johan De Metser to maneuver through the defense. Ataol Ayalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geert-Jan Huyberechts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geert-Jan Huyberechts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Standaard Meerbeek's Ataol Ayalp got control of the ball when Geert-Jan Huyberechts tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ataol Ayalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Cappels in the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Geert-Jan Huyberechts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geert-Jan Huyberechts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ataol Ayalp having to interfere. Johan De Metser kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Jelle Ceustermans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herbert Cappels got free with Ataol Ayalp in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Davy Weba didn't quite understand what happened when in the 31 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Geert-Jan Huyberechts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ataol Ayalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Standaard Meerbeek's zone, Geert-Jan Huyberechts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ataol Ayalp came out of the goal and Geert-Jan Huyberechts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Johan De Metser kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Pieter-Jan De Raedemaeker hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The supporters of Jonas en de Walvis II booed when Standaard Meerbeek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Van Gertsuyden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Standaard Meerbeek's Ataol Ayalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Van Gorpt in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute Geert-Jan Huyberechts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ataol Ayalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Geert-Jan Huyberechts struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Ataol Ayalp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jonas en de Walvis II. In the 58th minute, Erik Cappels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geert-Jan Huyberechts took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ataol Ayalp. Ataol Ayalp dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When Geert-Jan Huyberechts came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Jonas en de Walvis II fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geert-Jan Huyberechts couldn't finish the play. Standaard Meerbeek's Ataol Ayalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geert-Jan Huyberechts in the 78th minute of play. Ataol Ayalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geert-Jan Huyberechts in the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geert-Jan Huyberechts in the 82nd minute of play forced Standaard Meerbeek's goalkeeper Ataol Ayalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ataol Ayalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Cappels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
