Standaard Meerbeek's Ataol Ayalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sean Weets in the 10th minute of play. Ataol Ayalp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Josef Caes in the 14th minute. Steve Van Steen hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 20 played minutes Standaard Meerbeek got a freekick which was hit by Casper Huveneers. Standaard Meerbeek's Ataol Ayalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sean Weets in the 23rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Goffrey Waron got free with Ataol Ayalp in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th minute Sean Weets shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ataol Ayalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 minutes, Casper Huveneers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Standaard Meerbeek and the Zantho F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Aaron Van Gertsuyden fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Standaard Meerbeek's protests and gave Aaron Van Gertsuyden a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Zantho F.C. booed when Standaard Meerbeek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Van Gertsuyden didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raf Van Eijcken in the 37th minute of play forced Standaard Meerbeek's goalkeeper Ataol Ayalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The wind increased when Sean Weets made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Constant Roekeloos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zantho F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Standaard Meerbeek the free kick. Constant Roekeloos kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Goffrey Waron in the 54th minute of play forced Standaard Meerbeek's goalkeeper Ataol Ayalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ataol Ayalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Goffrey Waron, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Goffrey Waron in the 84th minute of play forced Standaard Meerbeek's goalkeeper Ataol Ayalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, Johan De Metser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Zantho F.C. had played much better football throughout.
