The crowd rose to their feet as Angelo Baert kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ataol Ayalp. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Casper Huveneers hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Kenneth Sandberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Ataol Ayalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Baert got free with Ataol Ayalp in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, Lorenz Kestens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The OS Nooby United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Ataol Ayalp successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Angelo Baert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pieter-Jan De Raedemaeker stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, OS Nooby United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Engelberchs to maneuver through the defense. Steve Van Steen charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Steve Van Steen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Standaard Meerbeek getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Steve Van Steen hit a great ball. Ataol Ayalp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelo Baert's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, one of Standaard Meerbeek:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Standaard Meerbeek. After 66 minutes, Johan De Metser mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Standaard Meerbeek and the OS Nooby United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Standaard Meerbeek getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Johan De Metser hit a great ball. Lorenz Kestens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, OS Nooby United's Jacobus Van Deuren got a free kick in the 80th minute. Kenneth Sandberg struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Ataol Ayalp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for OS Nooby United. After having played for 86 minutes, Johan De Metser managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Standaard Meerbeek's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johan De Metser was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kenneth Sandberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ataol Ayalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ataol Ayalp came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by OS Nooby United's Angelo Baert. But to his dismay, Angelo Baert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1.
