The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Jan-Pieter Franckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. After a rather tough play, Jonas en de Walvis II's Reinard Sustens got a free kick in the 9th minute. Jan-Pieter Franckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Sebastien Goossens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan-Pieter Franckx in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastien Goossens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 21st minute of the match, Robrecht Schrevens tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joey Scheppers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 22 minutes into the match, Jonas en de Walvis II's goal looked a bit too open when Robrecht Schrevens came free, but Joey Scheppers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27thth minute of the game Jan-Pieter Franckx who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Langemarks's Sebastien Goossens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joey Scheppers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diedrik Vanpevenaeyge in the 30th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Diedrik Vanpevenaeyge cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Joey Scheppers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 35 played minutes Langemarks got a freekick which was hit by Pierre Schockaert. Joey Scheppers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robrecht Schrevens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarne Elens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Joey Scheppers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pierre Schockaert during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Langemarks's Pierre Schockaert got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Niel De Vos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastien Goossens having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Jan-Pieter Franckx's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastien Goossens was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Joey Scheppers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robrecht Schrevens, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The audience was convinced that Robrecht Schrevens's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joey Scheppers was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. 93 minutes into the game, Robrecht Schrevens cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0.
